NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to join our client’s team in St. Petersburg, FL. This is a hybrid, direct hire position.
SALARY: $90-$110K + bonus (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years accounting experience
- CPA or on-track to get CPA
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Strong accounting background and understanding of GAAP principles and GL
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the month-end accounting close process and preparation of work paper files and supporting documentation for account balances, accruals, tax provisions, and adjusting entries by assuming responsibility for all general ledger accounting.
- Performs detailed financial analysis of monthly results and document major variances from budgets or other unexpected/unusual amounts.
- Assists in preparing and reviewing financial statements, Board packages, and other ad hoc financial reports required by management on a monthly basis.
- Conducts corporate consolidations on a monthly basis
- Assists with developing accounting policy to ensure consistent application of accepted accounting principles.
- Prepares and manages the budgeting/forecasting process.
- Reviews client profitability and analyzes costs as needed to adjust client pricing.
- Assists and oversees the external independent annual audit process.
- Assists and oversees the Accounting, Tax and Compliance departments.
