NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking an Associate Construction Project Coordinator to join our client’s team in Orlando, FL. This is an on-site, direct hire position.
SALARY: $45-60K + bonus (depending on experience)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have or obtain OSHA 10-hour certification and preferred OSHA 30-hour construction training
- 5 years’ experience as a tradesman in Structural or MEP disciplines, OR a college degree in construction management OR engineering + appropriate project experience
- General knowledge of plan reading, concrete and masonry systems, structural modification, demolition, and carpentry
- Basic knowledge of MEP, Life Safety, refrigeration and kitchen exhaust hoods is a must.
- Theme Park experience is required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This person will be assisting the Project Management Team in the coordination, distribution, and organization of project documents;
- This person will be assisting in estimating duties for future projects including contacting subcontractors, as to the accuracy of the bid proposals;
- This person will be organizing existing sub files and management of all Procore databases and reports.
- Review and process properly transmitted contract documents
- Review, organize, maintain, and process contract documents and shop drawings
- Assist Project Engineer in verifying that shop drawings and submittals from subcontractors meet the specifications on the drawings and/or project specifications
- Be familiar with and build/maintain a good relationship with the local building and utility authorities
- Set Up and maintain job files both hard copy and electronically
- Assist with Purchase Orders and Subcontract issuance and tracking
- Assist in monitoring long lead items needed for compliance with the project schedule
- If in the field office maintain and organize the office in a neat and orderly fashion
- Assist construction administrator in the production of project close-out documents for submittal to the owner
- Assist project manager and superintendent in the production and tracking of the Punch List completion
- May attend and prepare OAC meeting minutes, then distribution to all attendees
- Originate and/or review, submit, log, and distribute RFI’s and Submittals
- Distribute all logs to pertinent parties
- Ability to communicate well via telephone to schedule work and resolve problems
- Must be a creative thinker and possess ability to solve problems
- Must be able to discern when to involve upper management in project issues and bring possible solutions to the discussion of problem resolution
- Manage in such a manner as to promote professionalism and company values when dealing with owners, subcontractors, and subordinates
- Willing to assist subcontractors and material suppliers as needed to complete the scope of work for a successful project
- Theme Park work will require coordination of access, badging, and parking for all vendors during the course of a project and may include night work
- Able/willing to use mobile technology for collaboration/communication with the entire construction team and in the performance of job duties
- Participate in weekly L10 meetings and contribute to LMA
- Complete Rocks as directed
