NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This is an onsite, direct hire position.

SALARY: $80-$95K + bonus  (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal, performing duties as indicated.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Best Case Software.
  • This is on the creditor side, and they MUST have this experience.
  • Ask if they have experience working with a bankruptcy trustee.
  • Litigation experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Bankruptcy and Federal law
  • ECF Pacer training and experience with filing via ECF
  • Any experience in California law would be helpful

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Highly organized
  • Familiar with the e-filing system of CM/ECF
  • Able to acclimate to the handling of cases in various jurisdictions throughout the United States and overseas
  • Prepare various motions for relief, fee applications, proofs of claim, and from time to time, petitions, schedules and financial statements.
  • Have a passion for helping people.
  • Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
  • Individual will need to know how to multi-task, must be organized and needs to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Individuals who apply should be proficient in calendaring events, filing documents with the court (including ECF filing), drafting, discovery and managing physical and electronic records.
