NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Comptroller to join our client’s team in Orlando, FL. This is an onsite direct hire position.

SALARY: $75-$85K (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft office
  • Min of 5 years experience of financial operations in non-profit sector
  • Experience in management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and monitors the annual budget and reforecasts as needed.
  • Submits all financial and operational related items.
  • Prepares cash flow forecasts and updates weekly.
  • Preparation of monthly internal financial statements and reports.
  • Monthly management reporting and analysis of General Ledger.
  • Accounts Receivable monitoring including invoicing and cash receipts.
  • Occasional sponsor/donor interaction.
  • Accounts Payable and vendor management including annual Form 1099 filing.
  • Reconciliation and coding of company credit cards.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  • Revenue reconciliation between CRM and QuickBooks.
  • Maintenance of inventory records and supervision of fiscal year end counts.
  • Select treasury management activities.
  • Bank reconciliations, preparation of bank deposits, recording of merchant fees.
  • Maintaining effective internal controls for the department and the company.
  • Proactively developing accounting policies and procedures with internal controls to ensure accurate financial information and maintenance of the Accounting Manual.
  • Audit liaison supervising the annual audit activities.
  • Meet with senior staff regularly for corporate strategy, planning, and overall management of company, coordination of accounting functions and other fiscal support.
  • Maintenance of workflow processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal employment, health, labor and tax laws and regulations.
  • Payroll and related journal entries and oversight of basic payroll tax documents.
  • Maintaining fixed asset records.
  • Prepare specialized reports and/or financial analysis as needed.
  • File appropriate documents and registrations with local, state and federal governments.
  • Oversees annual audit, ensuring compliance and best practices are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.
