NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our client’s team in St. Petersburg, FL. This is an on-site, direct hire position.
SALARY: $75,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on training and phishing
• Proficiency with phishing simulation platforms
• Experience with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH or similar) are highly desirable
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or KQL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage security training programs and email phishing campaigns
• Stay informed on cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices
• Develop reports and presentations on cybersecurity metrics and incidents
• Monitor security alerts from tools, logs, and systems for suspicious activity
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify security gaps
• Support incident response efforts and manage security incidents
• Coordinate and manage security controls to detect and prevent threats
• Document security system capabilities, processes, and diagrams
• Mentor and guide team members to foster continuous learning
• Respond to helpdesk tickets related to security issues
