NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Director of Development (Fundraising/Non-Profit) to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This is an onsite, direct hire position.

SALARY: $110-150K + bonus (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of experience in either nonprofit or private sector, raising significant funds or revenue while being disciplined with respect to expenses.
  • BA/BS preferred in fundraising, business, marketing, public relations or related field (or equivalent, relevant professional experience).
  • Solid communicator and team player, ability to effectively guide and empower reports.
  • With humility, ability to prioritize and respond to leadership and internal/external requests in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to write assorted timely creative and effective copy for collateral materials and internal/external communications.
  • Ability to work across departments and truly collaborate on many different projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with leadership regarding fundraising goals and Foundation objectives, respond to requests within a thriving environment in a timely manner. Reach annual fundraising goal and ideally stretch goal.
  • Construct and develop awareness and fundraising plans for 54 (and counting) Ambassadors. Includes private functions and on-going discussions related to various fundraising and connector opportunities. Communicate steadily, tactfully, and candidly with Ambassadors.
  • Maintain current donor and corporate relationships and seek new partnerships via connectors and cold calls. Includes constructing sponsorship packets for various events and activities and developing fundamental and customizing creative benefits for sponsor packages.
  • Hold weekly standing meeting with department to discuss strategy and upcoming priorities and participate in weekly Stand-Up meet with leadership and directors to cover all pertinent information.
  • Work closely with Events Manager on all facets related to event planning. Events and activities are held across the country and duties include creating target invite list, branding, paper and digital invitations, creative program elements, scripting, talent procurement, themed silent auction and live auction package outreach, and logistics.
  • Develop cause-marketing programs, ensure quality control while programs are being implemented.
  • Maintain current grants, write mid-year reports and seek new grants.
  • Explore employee giving programs with corporations who are aligned with our mission.
  • Collaborate with department and leadership on bi-monthly digital donor newsletter. Construct and develop copy and increase subscription rate.
  • Convert subscribers forand on social platforms to monthly, annual donors or sponsors.
  • Write internal correspondence, and construct outreach to board and Ambassadors regarding Annual Report, Quarterly Report and provide steady organization updates with respect to potential involvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager, including copy and design, on social posts, all platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Thread). Oversee annual schedule for posts and ensure benefits offered in sponsor packages are being honored.
  • Continue to develop website content, while maintaining objective of driving prospective donors to our website.
  • Work closely with Graphic Designer on look and feel of different digital and printed materials, write copy.
  • Collaborate with department members and colleagues on strategic plan, identify strategic opportunities, and seek ultimate approval from leadership.
