NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a  Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to join our client’s team in St. Petersburg, FL. This is a direct hire position with remote flexibility

SALARY: 90-105K + commission (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on low voltage systems in multifamily residential and commercial projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar) and strong knowledge of electrical and low voltage systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Project Management Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar are a plus.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop comprehensive electrical estimates for multifamily residential and commercial projects, focusing on low voltage systems including fire alarm, security, communications, and data systems.
  • Review and analyze bid documents, including plans, specifications, and contracts, to determine scope of work and required materials.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Vendor Coordination Obtain and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of estimates and adherence to project timelines.
  • Technical Review: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and clarify project requirements.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of all estimates, including assumptions, calculations, and backup data.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns.
