NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our client’s team. This is a remote, direct hire position.
SALARY: $165-$190K (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- At least seven (7) years of hands-on experience as a software engineer in a .NET/C# environment prior to assuming the role of Engineering Manager.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of payment systems, with a focus on both acquiring and issuing aspects.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A graduate degree is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience as an Engineering Manager or in a comparable leadership role within a technology company, with a preference for those in the payments industry.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., .Net, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of efficient delivery and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software engineering, including design patterns, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of payment systems, with a focus on both acquiring and issuing aspects.
- Manage the integration and orchestration of multiple APMs, ensuring seamless and efficient payment processing.
- Drive the adoption of scalable and reliable architectures, leveraging cloud technologies and modern development practices.
- Monitor and improve the performance, security, and reliability of the payment platform.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve the platform and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
