NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Field Service Technician – Automotive/ Heavy Equipment to join our client’s team in Orlando, FL. This is an onsite, direct hire position that will require traveling.
SALARY: $50-70K (depending on experience)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding/background working with heavy equipment/machinery
- Experience and/or willingness to travel extensively to client sites
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external clients
- This role requires traveling: 75%
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure proper installation of the equipment.
- Train end users on the correct utilization of the equipment to maximize its efficiency and safety.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with the product and service, addressing any technical issues that may arise.
- Identify opportunities for selling additional labor hours and replacement parts.
- Provide customers with information on the benefits of routine maintenance and upgrades.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Offer technical support to customers over the phone or in person.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide effective solutions.
- Schedule and perform on-site repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Document all service and repair activities accurately.
- Report any defects or issues diagnosed on the field to the engineering departments for corrective action.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during equipment delivery and service.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Generate reports on service activities and share them with management and sales teams.
- Provide feedback on product performance and potential improvements.
- Stay current with advancements in heavy equipment technology.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to improve overall team performance.
- Coordinate with the inventory department to ensure sufficient stock levels.
- Minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including sales, engineering, and customer support.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a smooth flow of information and resources.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to problem-solving and process improvement discussions.
