NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking an IT Project Financial Analyst to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This is a contract position with remote flexibility. Candidate must be willing to work on-site 3 days a week in Tampa, FL.

SALARY: $50-60/hour (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of strong project financial management and IT project experience
  • Experience in managing Capital and Operating expenditures
  • Understanding of enterprise project processes and lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment
  • Adept at working with a globally distributed team and able to deliver with remote teams
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation
  • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines to achieve common goals
  • Demonstrated capability in managing financials for a robust project plan, managing resource capacity allocations and budget against that plan
  • Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives in parallel as well as changing priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Productivity Suite of Products

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, document, and gain business alignment for tracking and providing updates on project financial performance
  • Leverage best practices and techniques in identifying, quantifying and tracking the realization of expected financial performance of projects under review
  • Communicate effectively with project sponsors and internal stakeholders so that senior executives, technology and business leaders as well as impacted staff feel as though they have adequate knowledge of project financial performance and what is required of them
  • Develop trusted relationships with key technology and functional leaders & stakeholders to drive focus on project financial performance
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring projects meet expected financial metrics and escalating any identified issues to staying on budget
  • Forecasts, manages, and reports on project financials, planned and actual project schedule, and resource utilization. Understands basic financial models and cost to completion projections, making decisions accordingly
  • Ensure data is collected to appropriately inform decision making for mitigating project financial risks and resolving issues
  • Manage project budgets and review budget variances and scope change requests, and participate in the budget-resolution process
  • Prepare monthly financial reports that monitor financial performance, identify trends in spending and flag possible accounting errors
