NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Detection Engineer to join our client’s team in New York, NY. This is an onsite, direct hire position.
SALARY: $143-$191K + bonus (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years dedicated detection work
- Hands on, working direction with SOC team and building out use cases
- Expert level at different types of siems
- Programming experience with: Python, JavaScript and PowerShell (building out powershell queries). Working with code repo’s
- Must understand all the different query languages
- Tools: proficient in SOAR tools (allow to automate manual use cases and responses). Experience in with any are acceptable.
- 5 years of experience coming up in a SOC environment doing IR work
- Knowledgable on the mind of attack framework and the diamond model (how you work with identifying threats and the attacker methodologies)
- Must have experience with SIEM tools and building out automation cases
- Must have AWS
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Forensic experience
- Azure as a backup to AWS
