NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Loan Accounting Manager to join our client’s team. This is a remote, direct hire position.

SALARY: $105-$110K +bonus  (depending on experience)


  • 5-8 years of accounting experience required.
  • Three years of experience leading a team. Will start with one direct report.
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in accounting from an accredited college or university required.
  • Active CPA required.
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Experience working with one of the following:  ASC 326/CECL, Financial Institutions, or Mortgage banking 


  • Oversees and participates in loan accounting, including, but not limited to monthly calculation and analysis of Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL), amortization of deferred costs, analysis of mortgage servicing rights and valuation, off balance sheet commitments and all other items in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develops appropriate internal controls related to Financial Reporting.
  • Provides strategic recommendations to leadership team around Credit Union initiatives which relate to loan products, proposed transactions, changes in methodology, etc.
  • Provides guidance, coaching and training to Loan Accounting team members in alignment with organizational and departmental goals.
  • Represents accounting at loan review committee meetings and all other loan relate interdepartmental meetings.
  • Coordinates with FP&A, Data Analytics, and loan product groups for budget, forecast an projections.
  • Accounting liaison with loan product groups, FinOps and FP&A for all new products and related accounting.
  • Prepare the loan reporting sections of the quarterly Call Report, including coordination of interdepartmental source documents.
  • Responsible for month-end close processes, including both preparation and review of journalentries, reconciliations, reports & analyses, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Assists with the preparation of financial documentation and reporting needed to comply with examinations by NCUA and external auditors.
