NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Network Systems Engineer to join our client’s team in Clearwater, FL. This is an onsite, direct hire position.
SALARY: $90-$100K + bonus (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 year college degree Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related academic area or equivalent experience is required.
- 3 to 5 years prior experience as a systems engineer or in a related position
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management
- Strong knowledge in virtual infrastructure management (VMWARE)
- Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Ability to create scripts
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Hands-on experience with networking tools (e.g., router, switches, access points, WAN accelerators)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols (e.g., DHCP, DNS, IPSEC)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently
- Responds to end user trouble calls to resolve routine application software problems or assist with hardware issues remotely when possible.
- Administers and manages the virtual and physical server environment, storage and related infrastructure. Ensures the systems are functioning at optimal levels. This includes the monitoring of the systems hardware and storage platform.
- Specifies, procures, and implements server and storage and cloud technologies. Evaluates factors such as security requirements, access restrictions and business continuity to determine hardware configurations.
- Serves as subject matter expert for host processes, core application and data structures, and host-based jobs.
- Functions as escalation point for system problems, issues, and questions that affect bank functionality.
- Plans ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade server operating systems and applications. Recognize and troubleshoot problems with server hardware and applications software. Establish and maintain system documentation, standards and procedures.
