NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking an SQL DBA to join our client’s team in Miami, FL. This is an remote, contract position.
SALARY: $50-$60/hr (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- Strong T-SQL development and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with SQL Server operational tasks: backups, restores, replication, log shipping, etc.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Azure (IaaS and/or PaaS database services).
- Solid understanding of HA/DR concepts and implementations
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases (2012 and newer).
- Design and implement database solutions for high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and operational tasks.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery strategies, including backups, restores, and failover testing.
- Monitor database performance and health using tools like Datadog and native SQL tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
- Support Azure-based database deployments, including Azure SQL and IaaS VMs.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents.
