NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This is a hybrid, direct hire position.
SALARY: $80-$100K + bonus (depending on experience)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal, performing duties as indicated.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Best Case Software.
- This is on the creditor side, and they MUST have this experience.
- Ask if they have experience working with a bankruptcy trustee.
- Litigation experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Bankruptcy and Federal law
- ECF Pacer training and experience with filing via ECF
- Any experience in California law would be helpful
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Highly organized
- Familiar with the e-filing system of CM/ECF
- Able to acclimate to the handling of cases in various jurisdictions throughout the United States and overseas
- Prepare various motions for relief, fee applications, proofs of claim, and from time to time, petitions, schedules and financial statements.
- Have a passion for helping people.
- Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
- Individual will need to know how to multi-task, must be organized and needs to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Individuals who apply should be proficient in calendaring events, filing documents with the court (including ECF filing), drafting, discovery and managing physical and electronic records.
