NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our client’s team in Houston, TX. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire position.
SALARY: $35-$40 per hour (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience
- Ability to prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Strong financial reporting and analysis skills
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite)
- Advanced MS Excel skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process daily sales invoices and run related reports
- Collect overdue accounts and reconcile AR accounts
- Reconcile account balances and ensure correct payment postings
- Review, calculate, and post AP accrual entries
- Assist with month-end close and internal audits
- Manage stakeholder relationships and address accounting questions
- Issue credit memos and maintain related documentation
- Maintain customer files and review creditworthiness
- Analyze and control DSO and DPO levels
- Coordinate and assist with state sales tax compliance
- Support internal control audit processes
- Perform system cost roll-ups and collaborate with other departments
- Support additional accounting duties as needed
