NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our client’s team in Reading, PA. This is an Onsite, Contract-to-Hire position.
SALARY: $58-$68 hr (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience, demonstrating technical depth and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in cloud security, with a preference for AWS; Azure or GCP experience considered
- Ability to explain technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to navigate large organizations
- Experience participating in on-call rotations and handling security incidents
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and enforce security policies and standards
- Administer and monitor network, server, and application security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and security logging
- Perform security reviews and develop security models for new systems
- Analyze and recommend security products and evaluate their performance
- Maintain compliance documentation for SOX and PCI, including audit and review activities
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve usability issues and support security infrastructure updates
- Participate in large-scale security projects and initiatives
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage security incident responses
- Configure and maintain encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Develop and document security processes, testing, and emergency response procedures
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
TOP NON-NEGOTIABLE SKILLS:
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience, with maturity and depth
- Cloud security expertise, preferably AWS; Azure or GCP considered
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
