NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This is an Onsite (Direct Hire) position.
SALARY: $130,000 – $150,000 (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 3 years of people management experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 in a SaaS environment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
- Manage daily accounting operations across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Payroll
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete, and timely
- Implement and maintain internal controls, addressing process gaps
- Coordinate external audits, preparing schedules and documentation
- Research and apply accounting guidance, escalating complex issues
- Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Collaborate with FP&A and business leaders to support financial processes
