NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a AI Engineer to join our client’s team in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is an Onsite, Contract-to-Hire position.
SALARY: $75–$85hr (depending on experience)
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3–5 years of software engineering experience plus 1–3 years of recent hands-on GenAI experience
• Built AI agents and agentic workflows in production (chatbot-only experience is not a fit)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG pipeline development
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone OR Weaviate OR Chroma OR Azure AI Search, etc.)
• Experience building or supporting AI evaluation frameworks (accuracy, latency, reliability, performance)
• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain OR LangGraph OR n8n OR Microsoft Copilot Studio OR CrewAI (or similar)
• Strong coding skills in Python preferred ( .NET or Java acceptable)
• Strong communication skills, including explaining how AI solutions were designed, built, deployed, and monitored
• Ability to connect technical work to business outcomes and product goals
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, build, and optimize AI agents and multi-agent workflows to solve business problems
• Develop and enhance RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, and knowledge systems that power AI solutions
• Integrate AI agents and LLM-powered solutions into internal products, platforms, and business workflows
• Build evaluation frameworks and implement testing, monitoring, and performance measurement for AI systems (accuracy, relevance, latency, reliability)
• Implement AI guardrails, validation, logging, and safety controls to ensure secure, reliable, high-quality outputs
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering teams to identify and deliver AI-driven automation opportunities
• Communicate AI capabilities, limitations, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve agent performance and AI solutions
