NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Backend Engineer to join our client’s team in New York, NY. This is a hybrid, direct hire position.
SALARY: $125K – 175K (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong experience in C# or similar strongly typed languages (Java, Go, etc.)
• Experience building distributed systems or working with cloud infrastructure
• Background working with pricing, financial systems, or insurance products
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows or deploying models to production
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture or streaming systems
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for the insurance platform
• Build systems related to rating engines, policy management, and risk evaluation
• Design and implement data pipelines and integrate with third-party data sources
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models in production
• Define requirements with stakeholders to inform system design
• Write clean, well-tested code with an emphasis on performance and quality
• Enhance system observability, monitoring, and reliability
• Use AI tools to accelerate development and improve workflow efficiency
