NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Principal AI Engineer: Generative & Agentic to join our client’s team in New York, NY. This is a remote, direct hire position.
SALARY: $215,000 – $270,000 (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

15+ years software engineering, 5+ years hands-on AI/ML.

Experience building multi-agent & RAG systems from scratch.

Python (primary), C# optional; backend & distributed systems expertise.

Memory orchestration, RLHF, LLM integration.

Production-grade architecture experience in regulated/consumer-facing environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, build, and deploy intelligent, autonomous agent systems for fintech applications
• Architect AI-native systems utilizing LLMs, memory orchestration, and RAG methodologies
• Rapidly prototype and harden AI solutions for production deployment
• Collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and research teams to develop resilient AI systems
• Establish and promote best practices for performance, scalability, and responsible AI
• Mentor engineering teams to foster technical depth and innovation in AI capabilities
• Stay informed of emerging AI research and adapt promising methodologies into product solutions
