NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Fabric Engineer to join our client’s team. This is a remote, contract position.
SALARY: $65-$75 W-2 (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:
• 4+ years of professional data engineering experience
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Fabric, Lakehouse, Warehouse, pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, Spark Azure Data Factory or Synapse pipelines, ADLS Gen2, and Azure SQL
• Strong T-SQL skills, including MERGE/upsert logic, incremental loads, and change tracking patterns
• Proficiency with PySpark for transformation and consolidation workloads
• Experience with Power BI semantic models, DAX, and refresh configuration
• Fabric capacity administration, including the Capacity Metrics app
• Fabric/Azure security expertise: workspace roles, RBAC, Entra ID, Key Vault, private endpoints, gateways
• CI/CD experience using Azure DevOps and Git
• Consulting or client-facing experience with clear written and verbal communication
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plan and execute Fabric and Azure migrations, including inventory, sequencing, cutover, and validation
• Build and optimize Fabric and Azure Data Factory pipelines, including incremental loads and upserts
• Implement medallion lakehouses and warehouses on OneLake, validated against source data
• Analyze capacity utilization and recommend sizing or design improvements
• Tune Power BI semantic models, DAX, and refresh strategies for performance
• Configure security and connectivity, including workspace roles, RBAC, Entra ID, Key Vault, and gateways
• Manage CI/CD workflows through Azure DevOps, Git, and Fabric deployment pipelines
• Support discovery, roadmaps, documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer
• Support proof-of-execution activities with accurate work evidence
• Communicate proactively with client stakeholders and identify risks early
